If it wasn’t for the fact that the majority of us are now overFat this subject wouldn’t even come up. As humans we have been piling on the pounds consistently for many years, until now it is at almost epidemic levels.

You can learn the pros and cons of fat burning pills on the health of the individuals. The treatment and pills are taken under the supervision and through prescription of the experts. It will do a magic at the body of the people to look attractive and slim.

People are realizing this and looking for the “magic pill” that will eat away their fat. Manufacturers have cottoned on to this and are having a blast, filling our media with hype and getting us to believe that there is such a thing, but do these little pills Really do anything for us?

Unfortunately No, not for long term sustainable Fat loss and have you considered the side effects they may have on your body. There will be a lot of people out there that say, yes they do work, I paid my $100 and I’ve lost x amount of pounds. But was it fat loss or lean muscle loss?

Let’s take Hoodia for example; there has been a lot of focus on that in the recent past. Hoodia has been used by Bushmen of Southern Africa for hundreds of years now as an appetite suppressant for their journeys. Great you say, it’s an appetite suppressant, must be good. But let’s break that down a bit. The Bushmen of Southern Africa are:

  1. Taking it along with exercise (as part of their journeys) so it’s not just taken and then, sit on the couch and read or watch some television.
  2. The Bushmen of Southern Africa don’t just get up and go to the refrigerator or cupboard when they are hungry.
  3. They are ‘hunter-gatherers’, so have to eat what they can find and when.

This all makes for a very different approach to the Westerner that has food in the cupboard and fridge, and that is not nomadic and travelling distances each day by foot. So even if it does help those Nomadic People of Southern Africa, there is no real evidence that it has any benefit to humans at all.

And isn’t it funny, the natural ingredients for all the latest “miracle pills” comes from remote places, and the indigenous people that use them don’t live as we do in the Western world.

Our bodies need nutrition to function properly and maintain our lean muscle mass, by curbing your appetite you may very well be depriving your body of some of the essentials it needs, thereby creating a slower metabolism which in the end can lead to Fat gain.

So how do we combat all this? By learning about the natural unprocessed foods we have available to us and how best to use them. Those foods that we have in our cupboards and refrigerators, those foods that can give us the beautiful body we desire and those foods that can actually help us in our Fat loss efforts. It can be very surprising what is sitting “right under our very noses” that we don’t use, because we don’t know about them or how to use them to our benefit.
